OUR NEW TRAINING CENTER IS NOW OPEN!
Fremont Maritime is Opening a New Training Center
Fremont Maritime Services is excited to announce the opening of our new maritime training center, located in Seattle's Fishermen's Terminal. Classes will begin at the new location on Monday, January 2, 2012.

This state of the art facility will provide mariners an exceptional training environment.
The two brand-new classrooms are over twice as large as those at Fremont's previous facility, and feature exceptional views of Fishermen's Terminal's working docks, watercraft, and the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial. Presentations are displayed on large flat-screen monitors, in rooms filled with training aids provided by manufacturers and suppliers.

Located in the Fishermen's Center Building, Fremont's students can enjoy a number of amenities before and after class and during breaks. For dining they can choose from four excellent restaurants, including Seattle's famous Chinook's. Within a 100-foot perimeter, they can pick up necessities in the minimart, buy gifts for friends and family in the Aficionado Gallery, get a haircut, do laundry, and even take a shower after class before that long drive or flight home. |
Every year, thousands of professional mariners and military personnel attend training with Fremont Maritime in classes addressing all aspects of shipboard safety and emergency response. Open enrollment programs cover First Aid, Sea Survival, and Basic and Advanced Shipboard Fire Fighting. Custom programs for towing, fishing, and passenger vessel operators refresh safety and emergency skills, and address specific company and customer training needs. Training over a thousand military mariners every year, Fremont is the only private organization contracted by the U.S. Navy to provide Fire Fighting and Damage Control courses to its active duty personnel.
Fremont's Managing Director, Capt. Jon Kjaerulff anticipates the new center will prove very popular with its mariner clientele. "It's about so much more than just sitting in a room long enough to get a certificate," he says. "Students learn more, and are more engaged when you provide them with a clean and comfortable training environment."
"We are already highly regarded for our training content; now we'll be known as the most comfortable place to go to school, too." |
