Shipboard Damage Control
Preparation for flooding emergencies is an essential part of emergency drill
training. Until now, opportunities to learn flooding and damage control strategies
have been limited. With the introduction of Shipboard Damage Control you
now have the chance to give your crew the skills and the confidence they
need to combat a flooding emergency.
This two-day, extensively hands-on course combines classroom sessions with
demonstrations and team exercises in a flooding ship mock-up. In addition
to learning techniques of prevention, investigation, and isolation, participants
practice pipe patching, hole plugging, and pumping of flooded compartments.
